visual concept
Assignment outline :
This project will address a subject within the broad category of current national and
international events or topics. The topic that i choose is – Racism.
The overall concept is try to raise people’s awareness that racism problem should
be solved but contrary it still haven’t. I apply photo montage technique because I believe image speak the words clearly and directly.
The background colors is in grayscale to represent it’s happen previously as well as
this is a negative subject.
I choose this sign is because it’s used to indicate something that is not permitted, and it’s also considered acceptable and recognized by the general public. I apply transparency so it can still see through the background to stand for the problem haven’t been solved. But in the meanwhile, I still use red color on the shading part to relate the symbol with prohibition sign.

the translation, express the essence of the problem to the general audience through
clarity of idea and not complexity of composition. The topic that i choose is – Codependence.
Codependence means in a relationship where one individual has an addiction, the partner often becomes over-involved in the addict's life.
The message is about people who in codependence is actually blank in mind and can’t make their own decision. The white mask used to represent the people in blank and the puppet is to represent that people been controlled.
I apply dark color to show the negative mood. I believe that black able to spread the 'lost' feeling of the codenpendence people. But in the meanwhile, I use brown color on the puppet part is try to emphasize the symbol and the meaning.
